The Learning Camp Initiative is a nonprofit organization committed to helping children in underserved communities acquire foundational literacy and numeracy skills. We implement the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) methodology and the Language Learning from Familiar to Formal (L2F2) approach to ensure that every child, regardless of background, can succeed in school.
Comprehensive educational initiatives designed to address the diverse needs of Nigerian children and communities, creating lasting change through targeted interventions.
Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL): We assess students using simple tools and group them based on actual learning level—not age or grade. Instruction is tailored to each group's needs, using engaging and playful methods.
Language Learning from Familiar to Formal (L2F2): We begin with the mother tongue to teach literacy before transitioning to English. This method builds comprehension by connecting learning to language that children understand.
